Dancovich
A Brazilian YT/Twitch channel where my friend and I play and talk about games, especially classic games.
Ever since I was around eight years old, video games have been a huge part of my life. From the moment I got my first computer at 13, I knew I wanted to create my own games—games that I know I would've wanted to play if I saw them.
My first attempts at making a game were doing small text games in Basic and trying to reverse engineer Nibbles and Gorillas. Later I started making small board games in Visual Basic and Delphi. My first "graphically intensive" (if you could even call it that) game was Dodge the Jewels, a small game made in Java where your mouse cursor is a jewel that must dodge other jewels flying around and it gets bigger with time.
My favorite types of games are action adventures, RPGs and fighting games. I love the iconic 8-bit aesthetics of the 8 and 16bit classics, but also the beautifully detailed pixel art of games like Metal Slug. When the 3D era came, the unique charm of PS1 3D graphics fascinated my (why do the textures warp so much?) and they still hold special place in my heart. These influences continue to shape my approach to game design.
To this day, both playing and making games remain my greatest passion. I’m excited to share my creations here and connect with others who share the same love for gaming.
